Jekyll & Hyde: A Strange Case

If the now all-too-common retro trend in watches has you looking for a bit more creativity, Jekyll & Hyde watches might be for you.
These watches make no specious claims to a heritage of type or brand, rather they propose a well made, if playful approach to dial design.

Surrounded by a traditional wire lug case with a tapered onion style crown, the solid (if basic) frame allows the art of the dial to create the impact on this watch. Offered in either a 39 or 42 mm stainless case, all variations sell for the same $195 retail, and all versions utilize a quick change system for changing the between the two straps supplied with each watch.  Delivered with two strap options in packaging resembling a classic novel, the dual personalities of the Jekyll & Hyde can be expressed by simply swapping a strap – no tools needed.  The straps themselves are well made and stitched where their supposed to be for both effect and durability and are available in beige, brown and cognac leather, or black, red and blue woven NATO styles.

Under the sapphire crystal the dials play on themes of dripping blood, cracks, and a dual color dial that recalls the brand’s own name. Marking the time, over-size hour and minute hands both stand out prominently against the creative backgrounds, while a sub seconds dial accurately ticks away the seconds on this Japanese quartz regulated watch.  www.jekyllandhyde.ch
